He has always had a deep connection to music and in his teenage years he dabbled in rap and saw himself as one day contributing to the music industry in some way or other. In 2018, he stumbled across the SBK community, which instantly resonated with him. It reignited his passion for music, and in 2020, his DJ journey began. This love for his newfound community pushed him into creating a platform that was inclusive of all, hence the birth of “That SBK Party.”
With the influence of Legends like Funk Master Flex & DJ Jazzy Jeff, he aims to create a vibe that resonates with his audience .He aims to blend tracks that inspire movement and connection.His unique sound is fuelled by his passion for Urban Kiz music and its dynamic interpretation. DJ Norm has played at events in both Cape Town and Johannesburg and is currently the resident DJ at Coppers Bar ThatSBKParty events.
Having fine-tuned his skill and certified at the DJ Mix Club, he takes pride in giving his audience a unique musical experience whenever he is behind the decks. He feeds off the crowds energy to shape unforgettable experiences. To him, DJ’ing is more than just music, it’s about storytelling, rhythm, and emotion, leaving dancers feeling refreshed and inspired after every set.His Ethos carries through to all his events under ThatSBKParty umbrella.
