DJ E-KINS
Emmanuel Sowah aka DJ E-Kins, the founder of the Akoma Dance Spirit Festival and a dynamic role in the Afro-Latin music and dance scene. Originally from Ghana and now rooted in Johannesburg, South Africa, DJ E-Kins is known to blend Afro-beats with Latin American rhythms to create a sound uniquely his own. Starting as a Salsa and Kizomba dancer and instructor, he soon found his way to the decks, driven by his passion to showcase Afro-Latin music.
With nearly two decades in Joburg, DJ E-Kins is a resident DJ at Sankayi Lounge and Club, where he shares Africa’s rich musical heritage. He’s also renowned for hosting vibrant online sets that attract a global following
But DJ E-Kins doesn’t just stop at music. As a co-founder of Dance Spirit SA, he’s deeply committed to growing the Afro-Latin dance community.
Beyond his passion for music and dance, DJ E-Kins is also an IT entrepreneur, running Emsolve IT Solutions with the same dedication he brings to the dance floor.
