Andy Komse, born in Suriname, is a passionate Caribbean Latin dancer and social dance instructor. With Merengue and Dancehall in his roots, he views dance as a healing force. His journey began at Dansclub Danzson in Suriname, where he embraced Salsa, Bachata, and Brazilian Zouk. Cuban Salsa and Bachata remain his strongest influences.
Since moving to South Africa in 2008, Andy has taught at KATZ’S School of Dance and Dance Cafe, exploring various social ballroom styles. Now, he focuses on private lessons and preparing wedding couples for their special day. Believing that “Dancing is Therapy,” Andy continues to share his love for dance, helping others connect through movement and passion.
