Originally from Durban, Hilton moved to Cape Town to study IT and discovered salsa in 2010, later falling in love with kizomba in 2014. Soon after, he stepped behind the decks and became DJ TLA. You’ll have to ask him in person what it stands for though. He has played at major festivals like Mzansi Cape Town Salsa Festival, the Akoma Festival, Johannesburg Afro Latin Festival, Ahora Si and others. Not only is he the man behind the decks but also the man behind the scenes handling sound equipment and DJ organization. Passionate about Urban Kiz, Ghetto Zouk, and mid-tempo Mambo, he’s a self-confessed audiophile and natural introvert, prone to turning up to events simply to enjoy the music.
